I am very excited about the upcoming school year and on behalf of Bright Local Schools I want to welcome each of you to your district. Whether you have children in school or not, we want you to feel like this is your school district and welcome anytime.
Our staff is committed to providing a safe learning environment. They are very focused on curriculum Content to ensure each student is prepared for the next step on their educational and life journey. To ensure the safest possible school environment, we have staff specifically trained to carry a firearm. Additionally, every staff member has been trained on how to handle a crisis situation to protect their Students and fellow staff members.
Our goal is to provide a high-quality education. We continue to add curriculum to give the students more opportunities to Succeed. Our iPad program Continues to grow and improve. We recognize that a key to success is having a vibrant and dedicated teaching staff. We are very excited about and want to welcome our new staff members. At Whiteoak Jr/Sr High we have four new staff members:
April Flowers- English
Bright Local Schools is dedicated to providing our students the best possible staff and the best possible facilities while being good stewards of the buildings and funds provided by our local taxpayers. To that end, we have installed a new roof on much of the Whiteoak Jr/Sr High building and replaced a worn-out gym floor. During this new school year, we will continue to work on facility issues in order to protect taxpayer investments and to look for ways to reduce operating costs.
We want to improve our commitment to the community. Beginning on September 11, 2017, Senior Citizens, 65 years old and older, and Veterans will be able to attend all athletic contests free of charge.
For more information, please go to the district website (www.brightlocalschools.com) or call 442-3114.
We want to emphasize that this is your district and our door is always open for you. If there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to call us here at Bright Local Schools.
